OSI Network Model

The OSI Model divides networking into 7 basic layers. It is an easy way to understand each layer and know the functions of each.

Here are the Seven Layers of the OSI Model.

1.Physical
2.Data Link
3.Network
4.Transport
5.Session
6.Presentation
7.Application

Well, you might think, that is kind of a lot to memorize in order, well yeah it can be confusing, but here is an easy way that most people learn it.

1.Please
2.Do
3.Not
4.Throw
5.Sausage
6.Pizza
7.Away

Take the first letter of each word and it makes sence. Memorize that and it's super easy.

Starting Cisco

I'm starting this blog because I am a student going to school for Network Administration.  I'm almost done with my Cisco 1 course and I figured it would be helpful if I wrote about the things I've learned.  I will be updating this with information I learn eachweek and hopfully it will be beneficial to you guys too.  Any requests and I will do my best to cover those areas also.
